Gani is a right-handed opening batsman and bowls right-arm off-spin. Before the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[1] In the 2018 Indian Premier League auction, he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils,[2][3][4] though he did not play any games for them during that season.
He made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 10 March 2019.[5]
